2. Website Use
The content on this website is provided for general information only. We make reasonable efforts to keep the information accurate and up to date, but we do not guarantee that all content will always be complete, current or free from errors.
You must not misuse this website, attempt to interfere with its security, copy content without permission or use it for any unlawful purpose.
3. Services
Meadowpark Garage Ltd provides a range of garage services, including MOT testing, vehicle servicing, vehicle repairs, diagnostics, tyre sales and fitting, batteries, brakes and related vehicle maintenance services.
All services are subject to availability, vehicle condition, parts availability, technician availability and any legal or safety requirements that apply.
MOT tests are carried out in line with the relevant DVSA requirements. An MOT test confirms whether a vehicle meets the minimum legal road safety and environmental standards at the time of the test. It does not guarantee the ongoing condition, reliability or future roadworthiness of the vehicle.
4. Bookings
Bookings may be made online, by telephone, by email or in person.
When making a booking, you agree to provide accurate information, including your contact details, vehicle registration, vehicle details and the service required. It is your responsibility to ensure that the information you provide is correct.
A booking is not guaranteed until it has been confirmed by Meadowpark Garage Ltd. We reserve the right to amend, reject or cancel a booking where necessary, including due to incorrect information, availability issues, technical errors or circumstances outside our control.
5. Estimates, Quotes and Pricing
Any estimate or quote we provide is based on the information available at the time. Estimates are given in good faith but may change if further faults, additional work, incorrect vehicle information, parts availability or unexpected issues are identified.
We will aim to explain any additional work and associated costs before proceeding, unless urgent safety, legal or operational reasons require immediate action.
Prices may vary depending on the vehicle make, model, engine type, parts required, labour required and any third-party supplier charges.
All prices are provided in pounds sterling (£). Where VAT applies, this will be shown or explained where relevant.
6. Authorisation of Work
By leaving your vehicle with us, confirming a booking, accepting a quote or instructing us to proceed, you authorise Meadowpark Garage Ltd to carry out the agreed inspection, diagnosis, MOT, service, repair or other work.
Where additional work is required, we will normally seek your approval before proceeding. Approval may be given verbally, in writing, by email, by text message or through any booking or payment system we use.
7. Payments
Payment is due when the work is completed, unless otherwise agreed in writing.
We may accept payment by cash, card, bank transfer, online payment link or another approved payment method.
Where online or card payments are available, payments may be processed securely through an approved payment processing provider, including MotasoftPay where applicable. We do not store full card details on this website.
Your vehicle may not be released until payment has been received in full, unless we have agreed alternative payment arrangements in advance.
8. Deposits and Parts Orders
For certain work, special-order parts, tyres, large repairs or bookings requiring significant preparation, we may ask for a deposit or upfront payment.
Where parts are specially ordered for your vehicle, deposits or upfront payments may be non-refundable if the parts cannot reasonably be returned, have already been fitted or were ordered specifically based on the information you provided.
9. Cancellations and Missed Appointments
If you need to cancel or rearrange a booking, please contact us as soon as possible.
If you cancel before Meadowpark Garage Ltd has incurred any costs in connection with your booking, no cancellation fee will apply.
Where parts have already been ordered, work has started or we have otherwise incurred costs specifically for your booking, any cancellation fee will be limited to the reasonable direct costs we have incurred.
This may include:
-
The purchase price of specially ordered or non-returnable parts
-
Delivery charges
-
Supplier restocking or return charges
-
The agreed cost of labour already completed
-
The agreed cost of diagnostic work already completed
Any cancellation fee will not exceed the total price quoted or agreed for the cancelled work.
Where a part can be returned and a refund is received from the supplier, any refundable amount will be credited to you, less any reasonable return or restocking charges.
We will explain how the cancellation fee has been calculated and provide supporting details on request.
If you do not attend your appointment, the same approach may apply where we have already incurred direct costs for your booking. Any replacement appointment will be subject to availability.
10. Consumer Cancellation Rights
Where a consumer books a service online, by telephone or away from our premises, cancellation rights may apply under UK consumer law.
If you ask us to begin work within any applicable cancellation period, you agree that we may start the service before that period has expired. If you then cancel after work has started, you may be required to pay for the work carried out and any parts supplied up to the point of cancellation.
Cancellation rights may not apply once a service has been fully completed with your agreement, or where parts have been made, ordered or supplied specifically for your vehicle.
Nothing in these Terms & Conditions affects your statutory rights.
11. Vehicle Condition and Pre-Existing Faults
Vehicles may have pre-existing faults, wear and tear, hidden damage, intermittent issues, corrosion, seized parts, electrical faults or previous repair work that is not immediately visible.
We are not responsible for pre-existing faults or damage unless caused by our negligence.
Some diagnostic work may require investigation time and may not always result in a definitive repair without further work.
12. Diagnostics
Diagnostic work is carried out to identify potential faults based on the symptoms, test results, vehicle condition and available information.
A diagnostic fee may apply whether or not you choose to proceed with repair work.
Diagnostic findings are based on the vehicle’s condition at the time of inspection. Additional faults may become apparent once further work is carried out.
13. Parts and Materials
We may use original equipment, manufacturer-approved, aftermarket, reconditioned or quality replacement parts depending on availability, suitability, cost and customer preference.
Parts remain the property of Meadowpark Garage Ltd until paid for in full.
Where a customer supplies their own parts, we reserve the right to refuse to fit them. If we agree to fit customer-supplied parts, we cannot guarantee the quality, suitability or warranty of those parts.
14. Warranties
Where applicable, parts and labour may be covered by a warranty. Warranty terms may vary depending on the part, supplier, manufacturer, type of work and vehicle use.
Warranty cover does not usually apply to:
-
General wear and tear
-
Misuse or neglect
-
Accidental damage
-
Motorsport use
-
Taxi or private hire use, unless agreed
-
Commercial overloading
-
Poor maintenance
-
Customer-supplied parts
-
Unrelated faults
Any warranty claim must be reported to us as soon as possible. You must give us the opportunity to inspect the vehicle and assess the issue before arranging repairs elsewhere.
15. Collection of Vehicles
You will be contacted when your vehicle is ready for collection.
Vehicles should be collected promptly once work has been completed and payment has been made. We reserve the right to charge reasonable storage fees where a vehicle is not collected within a reasonable time after notification.
We may require identification or proof of authority before releasing a vehicle.
16. Road Testing
By leaving your vehicle with us, you authorise Meadowpark Garage Ltd and its authorised staff to drive the vehicle where reasonably necessary for diagnosis, MOT testing, quality checks, repairs, road testing or moving the vehicle on or around the premises.
17. Customer Responsibilities
You are responsible for ensuring that:
-
The information you provide is accurate
-
Your vehicle is insured, taxed and legally able to be driven where required
-
Any locking wheel nut keys, security codes, service books, charging cables or relevant accessories are provided where needed
-
Personal belongings are removed from the vehicle before work begins
-
You tell us about any known faults, modifications, previous repairs, warning lights or safety concerns
We are not responsible for loss of personal belongings left inside the vehicle unless caused by our negligence.
18. Liability
We will provide our services with reasonable care and skill.
We are not liable for indirect loss, loss of profit, loss of business, loss of use, inconvenience or consequential losses, except where such liability cannot be excluded by law.
Nothing in these Terms & Conditions limits or excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, fraudulent misrepresentation or any other liability that cannot legally be excluded.
